Fair Housing Opinion Survey
The Fair Housing Act Prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or disability by housing providers, and lender, including landlords and real estate companies.

About the Survey
Ken Weeden & Associates, Inc., is assisting the City of Jacksonville in conducting a Fair Housing Impediments Analysis. The purpose of the analysis is to help the City comply with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements, and to help develop a plan to address identified problems in order to better promote Fair Housing in the City.
We are contacting citizens, local organizations, and agencies involved in various aspects of housing, to seek input for this analysis. We hope that you will help us identify factors which may constitute impediments to Fair Housing choice in the City of Jacksonville. We would also like representative input from you or your agency to complete the attached questionnaire and return it to:

Funding Opportunity
The City of Jacksonville Community Development Division is accepting applications for the 2010-2011 Community Development Block Grant program competitive funding process. Applications for both construction and non-construction activities are being accepted. Deadline for submission of the application is Friday, March 8, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. For more information you may contact Lillie R. Community Development Block Grant Program
The City of Jacksonville is an "Entitlement City" and receives annual funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). All of the Community Development Programs, with the exception of the down payment assistance program, are administered with this funding. The down payment assistance program is administered by Community Development but funded by North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.
